Child swim lessons & Classes

Lakeside Swim School offers learn to swim classes for children.

Preschool 1: Ages 3-6. (We assume no background in swimming)

• Learning to breathe (nose bubbles etc.,)

• Facial immersions and floating ( front and back)

• Introduction to basic learn to swim strokes( front and back)

• Learn body and breath control/awareness

Preschool 2: Ages 3-6.

• Achieve independence in learn to swim strokes ( front and back)

• Basic introduction to breast-stroke, freestyle and backstroke.

Preschool Age Group lessons run on a 4-week cycle. Cost is $89 per month. Lessons meet once per week for 30 minutes. If your child cannot attend a lesson, you have the option to make it up in the next week, subject to class availability and open spaces, or the missed lesson becomes forfeited.

School Age classes-Ages 7 and Up (We assume no background in swimming)

Beginner

• Learning to breathe (nose bubbles etc.,)

• Facial immersions and floating ( front and back)

• Introduction to basic learn to swim strokes( front and back)

• Learn body and breath control/awareness

Intermediate

• Mastering Balance and Body position

• Mastering basic learn to swim strokes

• Introduction to competitive strokes

Advanced

• Proficiency in all 4 competitive swim strokes

• Proficiency in Dive starts , flip turns and legal race format

• Strive to increase stamina in order to join a competitive swim team

Up to 3 children per class

School Age Group lessons run on a 4-week cycle. Cost is $150 per month. Lessons meet once per week for 45 minutes. If your child cannot attend a lesson, you have the option to make it up in the next week, subject to class availability and open spaces, or the missed lesson becomes forfeited.
